Where wireless can help.

A wireless detector can be useful when staff position the panel in more than one location or when a mobile imaging workflow needs flexibility. Sharing between systems depends on the detector platform and configuration; wireless connectivity does not mean every room can use the same detector.

Battery and connectivity belong in the quote.

Discuss expected use, charging locations, battery availability and storage. Ask whether the proposed configuration needs an access point, a particular connection mode or network coordination. Site conditions and supported software matter as much as the detector specification.

A wireless model may also support a wired connection or charging cable. Confirm the modes for the exact model and which accessories are included, rather than treating “wireless” as a promise of cable-free operation at all times.

• Provide the X-ray system and acquisition software details.
• Describe room, mobile or shared use.
• State the imaging area and holder requirements if known.
• Ask for battery, charger, connection and training inclusions.

Compare the total configuration.

Review handling, physical dimensions, battery workflow, software support, cleaning instructions, accessory costs and installation responsibilities. Use the model’s current documentation for environmental and handling limits. A warranty and accidental-damage plan may cover different events.
